The Department of Physician Assistant Studies, University of Cape Coast has donated GHS 7,325 to Master Isaac Armah, a student of the Department who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Master Armah, a level 200 student, has been battling a recurrent right chest wall soft tissue sarcoma since 2021.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Stephen Ocansey, said the amount was the widow's mite of the Department and said the gesture would go a long way to mitigate the cost of treatment.
He said the Department would do everything it could to ensure the prompt recovery of Master Armah.
Dr. Oscansey presented the amount to Mrs. Agnes Yankey, the mother of the ailing student.
Mrs. Yankey thanked the Department for the support.
Present at the brief ceremony were the Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, Prof Martins Ekor; the Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Desmond Omane-Acheampong, as well as staff and students of the Department.
